Unter anderem wurde es zum Schutze vor eingeschleppten Seuchen genutzt, welche fr\u00fcher von fremden Schifffahrtsleuten mitgebracht wurden. Heute befindet sich darin das <strong>Museum Omero<\/strong> und es wird f\u00fcr <strong>kulturelle Events<\/strong> genutzt.<br \/>\nDer <strong>Trajansbogen<\/strong> wurde um ca. 100 n.C. erbaut zu Ehren des Kaisers Trajan, welcher die Stadt als Ausgangspunkt f\u00fcr seine Schiffsexpeditionen nutzte.<br \/>\nDer <strong>Dom<\/strong> von Ancona ist San Ciriaco gewidmet und ist die cattedrale metropolitana der Di\u00f6zese Ancona-Osimo.
